Dinamo Riga at a glance

As of the 2016/17 season, WINGAS is partner of the Latvian ice hockey team Dinamo Riga. Originally established in 1946, the team dissolved in 1995 and was then re-established in 2008 and has since then been playing in the multinational KHL. Dinamo Riga plays its home games in the Riga Arena.

In the first season after its reestablishment, the club already qualified for the league playoffs. Dinamo Riga achieved the best position in the KHL in the 2013/14 season where it ended in fifth place in the Western Conference. In 2011 the team took on international competition at the Spengler Cup and went on to celebrate the vice champion title.
